My Story
Medgine is a compassionate and dedicated board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with over 15 years of experience in nursing and a deep commitment to mental health care. She approaches her work with empathy, humility, and a strong belief in the power of collaborative, holistic healing.
Her clinical practice is grounded in evidence-based care and a patient-centered philosophy. She takes time to truly listen and understand each patient’s unique experience, creating a safe and supportive environment where individuals feel empowered to take charge of their mental health. With expertise in diagnosing and treating a wide range of mental health conditions—including anxiety, depression, substance use, mood disorders, and stress-related issues—Medgine is skilled at developing individualized treatment plans that integrate the emotional, psychological, and physical aspects of well-being.
Fluent in both English and Creole, and conversational in Spanish, she is passionate about serving diverse communities and helping patients from all backgrounds feel seen and respected. She provides care to individuals, couples, and families, and is especially focused on helping patients build resilience, improve coping strategies, and work through life’s challenges with confidence.
Medgine Colin holds a Master of Science in Nursing from St. Thomas University and dual Bachelor’s degrees in Nursing and Psychology from the University of South Florida. She has received recognition throughout her career, including the Nurse of the Year Award at Memorial Hospital Miramar, and is committed to lifelong learning to ensure she remains at the forefront of psychiatric care.
